Tadalifil works much like Sildenafil, but has a half life of 17.5 hours. Also, 20mg of Tadalifil is comparable to 100mg of Sildenafil.
Tadalafil inhibits cGMP specific Phosphotiesterase type 5 (PDE5)
PDE5 is responsible for degradation of Cyclic Guanosine Monophosphate (cGMP)
cGMP is responsible for vasodilation, or relaxation, of blood vessels and smooth muscle. This along with increased Nitic Oxide results in increased bloodflow and an erection.
Tadalafil is extremely effective in treating erectile dysfunction, by inhibiting cGMP. It's effects will last much longer than it's cousin, Sildenafil.
